Detoxification & Cleansing for Health

 

People are not given an instruction booklet on the care and feeding of the human body upon birth. Therefore to learn how the body works and what is needed to reverse disease in the body when sick or to avoid disease takes learning and applying the health principles that you learn on a daily basis.

The body is like a car if the spark plugs develop corrosion it will not fire properly and the energy it takes to run the car will not be efficient. Detoxification and cleansing the body’s tissues is like getting the engine overhauled. Some researchers refer to waste in the tissues and joints of the body as sludge. Many different systems of the body are responsible for getting the sludge out of the tissues and allowing healthy tissue to replace worn out or diseased cells and organs. The following guidelines will give you direction for detoxification and cleansing which allows renewal of the body to take place and ultimately feeling better and better!

 

Steps of Cleansing:

 

1.)    Step I- Daily cleansing of the bowels and lymph system. Constipation must be righted and is your number one homework assignment. Once you begin to have more complete elimination the lymph system throughout the body is allowed to eliminate waste in every inch of the body. Strive for 1 -2 bowel movements daily.  Hydrating with clean – ultra purified water, half your body weight in ounces and include healthy oils like fish oil, flax oil, olive oil, raw nuts & seeds, Vitamin E, A and C plus B Complex and minerals like magnesium, calcium and zinc are important and essential to life itself.

A.     Eating 2 cups of veggies daily with 50% raw as tolerated is essential to scrub the intestines. Celery, carrots, bell peppers, radishes, cabbage, spinach, coconut etc. are great! Fruit fibers as tolerated from apples, bananas, citrus (if no herpes simplex virus), fruits in season like berries, kiwis, melons, add to the excellent food fiber for detoxification and nutrients such as antioxidants that clean up damage in the tissues. If blood sugar cannot withstand the extra fruit sugar rely on vegetable fibers to include millet and quinoa which are both low gluten grains. Brown rice can be used if no extra bloating is experienced as tolerated. Avoid excessive breadstuffs, cookies, candies and junk foods for at least 6 weeks.

B.     Eat smaller amounts of meat and cheese while relying more on beans as tolerated and raw, fresh nuts and seeds for protein.  Beans that contain less gluten are pinto beans, lentils and garbanzo beans.  Humus can be a delicious spread and protein source which is low in gluten.

C.     Supplements that contain Alfalfa, Wheat Grass, Sprouted Grasses, Dandelion Roots & Leaf, Trifola,  Aloe Vera, Beets, Slippery Elm, Probiotic Friendly Bacteria Strains can be especially helpful and you may find  FiberMate and Aloe Gold liquid juice by Aloe Life a short cut. Dr.Ohhira's Probiotics 12 plus is a good choice for Probiotics.

D.     Enemas can be safely used as a way of hydrating the colon and adding 3 cups of water to 1 cup of warm coffee to speed the evacuation process.

 

2.)    Step II - Deep Tissue and Organ Renewal. If you listen to the archive shows throughout March 2009 you will start learning about the heavy metal poisoning that all humans face on planet Earth in the 21st century. Mercury, lead and Arsenic in particular tend to plug pathways of the nervous system and metabolism creating a need to cleanse on a cellular deep tissue level of the body.

A.     Adding herbs to your program of milk thistle, burdock, turkey rhubarb and Aloe Vera along with good sources of magnesium begin to allow the liver to release waste into the blood stream and as the bowels our moving can allow waste to exit the body through the kidneys, bowels and skin more efficiently.

B.     Drinking vegetable juices made fresh or from quality vegetable supplements like Daily Greens by Aloe Life can provide higher amounts of magnesium and other important nutrients - for cleansing which allows each cell to metabolize nutrients for fuel more effectively. Many people stuck in chronic illness do not supply their body with enough magnesium for healthy metabolism.

C.     Riding the body of waste from deep tissue speeds up the cleansing process.  Normal detox reactions can include flu like symptoms, headaches, achy joints and a little unusual fatigue. Once the waste leaves the body from 3 – 6 days higher energy is the result. Also skin flare ups of boils, rashes and sticky exudates are normal and not to be feared. This is why the movement of stool through the bowels is so important on a daily basis. Along with headaches a brain fog or fuzzy thinking can come and go and the addition of antioxidant especially glutathione is especially helpful to clear the ability to think. Aloe Vera has been found to stimulate our own body to make higher levels of glutathione in the body and most likely the reason people feel so good drinking it daily and during a cleanse. The famous teacher, chiropractor and iridologist Dr. Bernard Jensen found detoxification leads the body through healing from the inside out and from present back through each step of a disease. To better explain you might experience aches and pains and skin flare ups you had in the past before the body totally clears and becomes healthier. I have seen this in most people I have worked with. Acne can get worse before it totally clears up!

3.)    Step III Blood Purifying & Ridding the Body of Opportunistic Conditions such as Parasites, Viruses and Candida Albicans etc.  A clogged elimination system from constipation and chronic illness along with an over growth of microbials in the blood stream can lead to impurities in the blood. Viruses, bacteria, parasites and fungus are a category of invaders that can be classed as opportunistic organisms that can also attack the body, make toxins and block absorption of nutrients and decrease metabolic health in the body. This leads to cell death, premature aging and more disease. This fact has recently been confirmed with research from University of Irvine in California Biology Dept of the Medical School to show cell reduction of energy and cell death from toxicity of Cadmium and the Candida fungus common in many people’s bodies today.

 

Our normal cellular waste in the body, if not eliminated, along with toxic heavy metals and pollutants compound the challenge and all together create negative effects on cellular health and the quality of life people live. People living with Cancer and other chronic diseases make more waste in the body and blood that requires more detoxing to keep circulation and oxygenation efficient for healthy cells to thrive.

 

Through cleansing and keeping the tissue terrain healthier anaerobic organisms like Cancer and other Viruses cannot live and spread as easily. Each step of cleansing helps each category to cleanse more effectively and it can take months and years to clear the body of the debris and rebuild the cells through following therapeutic health principles.  Yet each day one can feel better and better during the process so take action!

  1. Blood purifying takes every step thus far and to accent all vegetables and fruits (3 cups) as tolerated (50% raw) and accent green foods because chlorophyll is extremely cleansing and building for the body. Parsley, watercress, dandelion leaf and root along with eating beets, radishes both red and white and herbs and special needs supplements help greatly! Daily Greens are a short cut in a powder form and fresh juices to allow the body to rid itself of waste and provide antioxidants to clean up damage the waste creates. Eat Gluten Free for 3 months and continue if you are having regular bowel movements and no bloating of the GI tract.
  2. Probiotics which describes the friendly bacteria of acid fast organisms are excellent to kick the body’s immune system into a 2nd gear forward. Search out strong strains as in step II. Aloe Vera is also a must have in your program and remember there is a big difference in quality and potency so look for NO Water Added and a logo of Active Aloe to make sure it is effective. Whole Leaf Aloe Vera Concentrate has more active ingredients to support the body to raise immunity and fight infection as does Garlic. One fresh clove daily warmed in food slightly or minced into juice is potent or Kyolic garlic. The Pau de Arco herb is excellent for blood purifying along with enzymes like Bromelain and Wobenzyme, and Broccoli Seed Sprouts. All are great for clean up work within the blood. Coconut butter, oil or Caprylic Acid products (choose 1-2).
  3. Special Needs Supplements including herbs are needed to support the body to feel good and my guidelines is to be on at least 1-2 each 3 months cleansing cycle in addition to your core supplements as possible. Fish Oil, CoQ-10 enzyme and N-Acetyl-Cysteine are very effective to clear fuzzy thinking and increase energy throughout cleansing. You can change what you take or even take extra for a while yet these represent special products that you only take as needed.
  4. The Core nutritional program includes Protein, Essential Fatty Acids from fish oil and or flax, etc, Vitamins A, C, E, B-Complex, B-12 and minerals and any other supplement you take daily to run the body along with making the best food choices each day.
  5. Exercise is always important and drinking ultra pure drinking water. Taking hot baths and drying off briskly with a towel and allowing the body to sweat are very cleansing. Saunas, enemas and massage can all be very facilitating and feel good throughout a cleansing regimen.

 

Candida Albicans or the candidiasis condition is not always recognized by physicians as a real factor in disease and a need for cleansing. MD’s rarely ask if a patient is even constipated in a regular office check up so do not be surprised at their confusion about Candida. Some physicians have even lost their license for addressing Candida in their offices within the last 10 years. Dr. James Balch MD’s health book, Prescription for Nutritional Healing, is a great source book. However he has not been fully trained on the value of some of the herbs and nutrients that I have found shortcuts to wellness like Aloe Vera. I have also found Candida to be present in most people dealing with chronic illness both children and adults.

Health is always the side effect of health. We each need to put daily effort forth to achieve health. Many books and articles have been written to support your efforts and share what you learn with your family and friends. Health is truly our greatest wealth!
